Ferry rides

In my opinion the best cheap entertainment in Seattle is the ferry that runs between downtown Seattle and Bainbridge Island. For $6.70 per adult (kids under 6 free) you get a roundtrip ride with great views of Puget Sound, the houses on Bainbridge, and the downtown skyline. And on sunny days you get a great view of Mt. Rainier as well.

I particularly enjoy the view of Smith Tower (the one with the pyramid on the top) on the return leg; Kate and I got married in the Chinese Room up top.

Ah, Pike Place Market

Gotta love Pike Place Market. Kate and I used to do our grocery shopping here every weekend when we lived in Queen Anne.

New toy, new blog

I’ve had an internal blog at my company for over two years now, but never gotten around to creating an external blog.  So why now?  Simple; I talked them into buying me an iPhone 3G and WordPress released a native app.  I couldn’t resist the urge to play.  So, until my company gets the iPhone to talk to their outsourced VPN (I’m looking at you, AT&T), I’ll play externally.
